Black & Ginger

This is the venture of 2 friends: Hadyn Black is a winemaker, working in the Great Western region, Darcy Naunton (Ginger) is an entrepreneur. Their common interest in wine saw them take a great leap in '15, buying 1t of shiraz from the renowned Malakoff vineyard in the Pyrenees, with further vintages following. Hadyn and wife Lucy Black purchased a rundown vineyard in Great Western in late ’16, naming it Hounds Run after their hounds. The subsequent wine, Lily's Block, was produced from the site in honour of Hadyn’s mother, who did much of the pruning and picking but unfortunately passed away before tasting the wine. Alternative varieties are the brand's key focus. -HALLIDAY TEAM
