Winemaker Meg Wallace says building her wine label Nacre has been a slow burn. Between working at the Alpine Valley’s Billy Button Wines and raising her 2 sons, Gabriel and Jude, it has taken time to sink her teeth into the business side of things at Nacre. Meg is making very smart wines, despite the juggle, sourcing fruit from the Alpine and King Valleys – pinot noir, barbera, vermentino and grüner veltliner – and shiraz from Bendigo. -KATRINA BUTLER
