Our Review
Moores Hill Estate Vineyard consists of pinot noir, riesling, pinot gris and chardonnay. The vines are located on a northeast-facing hillside, 5km from the Tamar River and 30km from Bass Strait. Moores Hill became Tasmania’s 1st 100% solar-powered winery in '17, the wines all made onsite. In '22, James and Constance took ownership from Julian Allport and Fiona Weller. James, who holds a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Adelaide, is keen on pinot noir, with vintages in Geelong, Mornington, Oregon, Burgundy and Germany under his belt. -JAMES HALLIDAY
