Lonely Vineyard

This is the venture of winemaker Michael Schreurs and his partner Karina Ouwnes. Daughter Amalia can ‘hoover a box of sultanas in record time’ while Meesh, the family cat, ‘treats Amalia well, and Michael with the contempt he deserves’. Someone has a great sense of humour. Michael’s winemaking career began at Seppelt’s Great Western winery, where he spent 3 years, followed by 6 years at Henschke and, more recently, a stint at The Lane Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, backed up by time in Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, the US and Spain.
