Our Review
What was once an ambitious venture is today Qld’s largest winery. The founding Morris family commissioned a leading architect to design the state-of-the-art winery, the state’s best viticultural consultant to plant 3 major vineyards (in the Granite Belt) and skilled winemaker, Adam Chapman, to make the wine. It also has a 200-seat restaurant firmly aimed at the tourist market, taking full advantage of its location between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. In recent years, the focus has shifted to emerging varieties such as vermentino, fiano, pecorino, montepulciano and aglianico in an attempt to mitigate the warmer temperatures and lower rainfall of climate change. Reminiscent of Tuscany, the Tuscan Terrace at Sirromet Winery delivers wonderful seasonal flavours of the freshest local produce and ingredients, showcasing a menu prepared in traditional home-cooked Tuscan style. Relax on the 75-metre timber deck or under the shade of the fig trees in the Amoroso area, as the sea breeze from Moreton Bay gently rolls across the winery estate. Offering elegant comfort and style, each tent has a private balcony that appears to 'float' above the landscape, giving you a 'tree house' impression as you gaze across the tree canopy over the lake. Perfect for a weekend getaway for two.
Family Pavilion
Escape back to nature in our family-friendly tented pavilion. Offering elegant comfort and style, the Family Pavilion sleeps 4, with 2 king-single beds, located towards the front entrance, and a king bed will ensure everyone is comfortably accommodated. Conveniently located on the grounds of Sirromet Winery, indulge your senses and explore the variety of food and wine experiences, discover the native wildlife on one of our bush walking tracks or challenge the kids to a fun game of Supagolf. For families wishing to book at Sanctuary by Sirromet, we cater for children 10 and over. Our tented pavilions surround our natural Laguna, and for this reason, we ask that all children are supervised by a responsible adult at all times during your stay.
