Riesling is an incredibly diverse food wine, with a wealth of styles meaning you're almost guaranteed to find the right version for your dish. From bright, refreshingly citric styles to richer autumnal flavours and honeyed dessert wines, there's a riesling to suit most courses and cuisines.
Langton's portfolio manager Christophe Priddle agrees, saying: “As our cuisine has become lighter, riesling has really come to the fore as a versatile match. Dry rieslings can be wonderful bookends to a meal because any starter you would squeeze lemon or lime on to is going to work well, and that acidity also means the wine can handle cheeses ranging from camembert through to Comté at the end of the meal. Aged riesling reminds me of the balance between sweetness and tartness that you find in preserved lemons, so light stews such as chicken tagine or bouillabaisse can be an interesting pairing."
