Top red wines under $30

The list that follows forms part of James Halliday’s 2020 Top 100.

“The wines came from 12 regions, McLaren Vale and Margaret River (four wines each), Yarra Valley (three wines), Mornington Peninsula (two wines) and one wine each from Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Grampians, Hunter Valley and Langhorne Creek. The varietal spread threw up shiraz (seven), cabernet sauvignon (five), pinot noir (four), grenache (three) and malbec (one).”

The following wines were chosen from a total of 199 submitted.
