Ambra Limoncello
Ambra Limoncello is the flagship product from this South Australian producer. Made with locally sourced lemons, the nose offers plenty of fresh and zesty lemon-drop notes that come across as entirely natural in origin. At room temperature, there is a slight note of spirit as well, suggesting this product could use a touch more integration. Still, they suggest this limoncello is best served cold, and out of the fridge those spirit notes are less obvious. On the palate, the sweetness is well balanced with the zestiness of real lemon. The finish is absent of any cloying notes from aggressive sweetness and, overall, this is a pleasant, natural-tasting limoncello that would mix well in most scenarios.
