Intro
Brown Brothers – King Valley, VIC
Brown Brothers head of Venues Georgia Beavis says: Since 1889 we’ve been here in the Milawa region of the King Valley – and that means we’ve seen a lot of harvest seasons. Sipped a few Chardonnays in our time. Discovered some delicious new varieties, and threw a few experiments out the window, too. Four generations of winemakers later, we’re still as excited by a new release Sparkling, or that aged 1980 Malbec that only comes out on special occasions. While we’ve collected a few laurels on our bottles, we’re not even tempted to rest on them. Instead, we use them to spur us forward; to push us beyond the status quo. To keep our minds sharp and our palates fresh, and to keep us making great wine for great people.
What can guests expect from a visit to your cellar door in summertime?
Step into our Cellar Door and you’ll find a vibrant lineup of new spritz flavours—bright, refreshing and made for long, sunny afternoons. Light, lively and perfectly chilled, they’re the ultimate way to toast summer in the King Valley. You’ll also spot our Prosecco in Aluminium, a crisp, modern take on a Brown Brothers favourite. Easy to chill, effortless to enjoy and perfect for picnics in the gardens, it’s made for summer sipping wherever the day takes you.
Beyond the glass, summer brings a suite of new and refreshed experiences. At Brown Brothers, every experience is designed to invite exploration—whether that’s discovering new flavours, uncovering our winemaking story, or simply slowing down and enjoying the moment.
The Moscato Picnic is summer relaxation at its best. Begin with a tasting at Cellar Door before selecting your favourite bottle—Moscato or otherwise—to take with you. Then settle into a private picnic spot among the gardens, complete with grazing, comfy beanbags and vineyard views. It’s an easy, joy-filled way to spend a few hours sipping, snacking and soaking up the King Valley sunshine.

It’s an immersive introduction to who we are, how we make our wines and why exploration sits at the heart of Brown Brothers.
